The Influence of Ascorbic Acid and Methionine on the delta-Aminolevulinic Acid Dehydratase Activity in Lead Poisoning
À±ÇýÁ¤/Yun HC
Abstract
the activity of delta-aminolevulinic acid debydratase(ALAD) in red cell of rabbit inhibited by addition of Pb(Ac)2 was recovered by ascorbic acid and methionine. Although the administration of Pb(AC)2 (50mg/kg) to rabbit caused to diminish completely the ALAD activity in blood within 2 hr. Pretreatment of ascorbic acid and methionine decreased this inhibitory action. Pretreatment of ascorbic acid also decreased the increment of delta-aminolevulinic acid output in urine by lead poisoning.
